2024 SVA Anti-Bias & Anti-Racist Film & Media Grant
Applicants may submit budgets up to $1000 to be used within one year from the acceptance date. The deadline for submissions is October 30, 2024 and applicants will be informed of acceptance by the end of November 2024.

ABSTRACT: A paragraph that summarizes your project, max 250 words.
OUTLINE: A detailed outline of your project that includes the following sections, max 1000 words
Topic – Explain the topic.
Methods/Approach – Explain plans for creating the project. Include a timeline and what work is already finished, and what work remains to be done.
Anthropological Impact – Describe how this project contributes to anthropological knowledge.
Anti-Bias/Anti-Racist Impact – How does this project address the mission of this grant?
BUDGET: Short budget with justification for each entry. Demonstrate how the funds will be used to support project Reveal other funding sources, if applicable. No more than 1 page.
BIO: No more than 1 page, double spaced. The BIO should demonstrate your preparation for the project.
EXAMPLES: Samples of any past work that may be relevant to the proposed project. Links to digital media are preferred. If links are unavailable, contact sfranzen[at]lsu.edu to arrange another form of delivery. Samples should be limited to 10 minutes of content or 10 images of content or an equivalent amount of other materials.

At the end of the grant period, recipients will be asked to provide a brief synopsis of the project and include any applicable digital materials for the SVA website. Even if the project does not go according to plan, a report on the process will likely provide insight and be useful for other practitioners.
