Casado’s Legacy
Directed by Valentina Bonifacio
50 minutes
For 100 years Maskoy people worked in Carlos Casado’s tannin factory, and lived in a urban district. The factory, founded on their land, based its production on the exploitation of local natural resources. In 2001 the company closed the factory and sold the land. For Maskoy people, Casado’s legacy is a land without food. On this impoverished land, they have to create a new way of living and imagining their future. Honorable Mention
